Laura M. Estep
executive director

Laura started Mosaic in 2011 under the OSCM umbrella nonprofit at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. In 2017, she and Andre', with the help of many others, formed Mosaic as its own individual nonprofit.

Laura is a 2010 graduate from Furman University. She holds a degree in Communication Studies and Education, with a focus on Drama Therapy, and a passion for empowering marginalized populations. She has worked and performed with community programs, national organizations, theatres, and schools in North Carolina, Mexico, Florida, and South Carolina.  

Laura grew up performing, prefers Directing, and currently uses Visual Art as her artistic outlet. Laura and Andre' met while working in a migrant farm-working community with ASTEP in 2010. They welcomed a daughter in 2019.

Andre' V. Webb
program director

Andre' is originally from Baltimore but came to Mosaic in 2014 from Philadelphia. He graduated from The University of The Arts in Philadelphia in 2008 with a degree in Jazz Performance in Voice. 

Andre has over 14 years of teaching experience, as well as program management. He has worked at The School of Rock, The New Freedom Theatre, The Salvation Army, and The Village of Arts and Humanities, all in Philadelphia; as well as ASTEP in Florida. Locally, he has taught at Bridges to A Brighter Future, Legacy Early College, and has performed and directed at Centre Stage and Glow Lyric Theatre. Andre' plays the piano, ukulele, and guitar, but voice is his instrument of choice.

 

Laura and Andre' have a daughter, Ariella, who was named by a Mosaic student.

Valeria Martinez
elementary teacher & family connection

Valeria has been with Mosaic for 14 years. She started as a student in 4K, and she is now a Senior in High School. She is currently serving as our Elementary Teacher & Family Connection Coordinator, but she has also taught Latin Dance and Visual Art with us. 

 

Valeria says that Mosaic for her means family. She grew up in the Mosaic program, and made so many special memories. She loves working at Mosaic because she gets to help the students with their academics, and create experiences for them that she didn’t have when she was a kid. 


Valeria plans to attend UofSC in the Fall of 2024.

Kaliyah Snowten
elementary teacher

Kaliyah originates from Beaufort SC, but resides in Greenville SC. She is a 2021 college graduate from Spartanburg Methodist with a passion for the expressive arts, social activism, and child care. She has made helping people her mission since the age of 11, and aims to be the change she wants to see in the world.

Kaliyah joined the Mosaic team first as the Kindergarten Teacher & Cultural Dance Teaching Artist for the 2023 Summer Arts Camp. She loves her Mosaic family and admires their love and dedication to youth.
